Paradise Textiles launches Biofuze biodegradable products

Biofuze is manufactured using the exclusive spinning process of Paradise Textiles.

Paradise Textiles is a subsidiary of Alpine Creations - a biodegradable textile manufacturer, and at Intertextile Shanghai Apparel Fabrics they announced Biofuze is a new range of man-made fibers that have the ability to dispense. strong biodegradation at the end of the useful life.

Ashok Mahtani co-founder of Paradise Textiles said: “We believe that environmental sustainability is everyone's responsibility. With growing demand for fast fashion, top brands realize that they must act immediately to reduce their ecological footprint to the environment. Our responsibility does not simply stop when the product has been sold, but we are responsible for the end of the life of the product. We must join hands to create a green future ”

Normally, Polyester takes hundreds of years to biodegrade naturally, making the textile industry the second largest polluting industry in the world. Every year millions of tons of textile waste are dumped into landfills around the world. While recycling is an ideal solution, there are less than 10% of recyclable wastes.

The manufacturer explained that Biofuze is produced by the exclusive spinning process. This process has been certified by Oeko-Tex, complies with GRS and can be monitored in the production process to ensure 100% transparency.

Clothing from Biofuze yarns will be identical to conventional garments throughout their life cycle and can even be recycled like any other polyester garments. The company added that the product does not have any biodegradation during use. Once this product comes into contact with naturally occurring bacteria found in special environments such as landfills or places where water is high, they begin to exhibit rapid biodegradation. After decomposition, the only byproducts are water remaining, CO 2 and the two fuels is clean energy and Biomass Methane.

In the test results performed at the Eden Laboratory in the United States, a sample of Biofuze fabric has been treated to demonstrate anti-bacterial and laundry properties 25 times to simulate the average life cycle of clothing, Biodegradability levels are more than 83.1% in simulated burial conditions in only 339 days.

This fabric also showed impressive results in the simulated conditions as marine environment, the biodegradability of more than 16.2% in less than 206 days.
